As already known, Opera Nova will soon have a new neighbor: the investment of Nowy Port, carried out by AWZ Deweloper. Construction started in 2020 and now work is in progress in this area of the city. Many indications suggest that we can expect excellent, refreshing effects for this part of the city.
The plans include the construction of several residential buildings, including 36-meter apartments. Up to 700 apartments are to be built in Nowy Port. It is impressive, and the magnitude of this venture will undoubtedly sooner or later affect the perception of the city by the residents themselves.
What can we expect from this investment? Will it be consistent with the architecture of the city? How much will the apartments in Nowy Port cost? Many questions arise, and we will have to wait for the answers. The answers, however, will certainly give rise to further doubts, which will only be dispelled when we see the final result of the construction.
Nowy Port means new quality
This is an investment that is talked about throughout the country. And – as can be expected given its size – the prices will not be low. Especially when we take into account the real estate market in Bydgoszcz.
You will have to pay over ten and a half thousand zlotys per square meter of an apartment. For comparison: this is more than for an average apartment in Gdańsk. But that speaks for itself: nothing average will be in this venture. This fee includes not only a high-quality property, but also a great location and a river view. The neighborhood itself will also undergo some changes to match the wealth of apartments with the urban space of Bydgoszcz.
Revitalization is also being prepared
There are also plans to revitalize the historic buildings of the Befana factory, where work has already begun at the beginning of this year. Among the several buildings, we will see three communication axes. The first one will be a green alley, which will add some color to the modern neighborhood of Nowy Port. This, combined with the river, will give a distinctive atmosphere to this area of Bydgoszcz, and hopefully it will be in harmony with the rest of the investment. In addition to that, we can expect a passage and riverside boulevards. This last aspect will certainly bring some life and make this place another meeting center for the residents.
The investment will be located in the quarter of streets Obrońców Bydgoszcz, Warmińskiego, Focha, and Marcinkowskiego. For the residents of this area, it is certainly not something new, as the work has been ongoing since the end of 2020. But how long will the construction last? The end is planned for the second half of 2023. Developers assure about high-quality materials and high standards. However, how will it fit into the landscape of Bydgoszcz? It is difficult to say based on the current state of construction, as the work has been going on for less than a year. Builders and investors still have about twice as much work to do.
To sum up: there will definitely be a difference, the investment will transform and refresh the city center. We have to wait for the results – but it will most likely be worth it.
