Bydgoszcz is among the leading cities in Poland in terms of housing availability.

In Bydgoszcz, there is a lot of construction happening – buyers have a lot to choose from in the primary market, and prices are relatively low.

A study on the availability of apartments in the 10 largest Polish cities was conducted by experts from the rynekpierwotny.pl portal. Criteria such as the supply of apartments per 1,000 residents and the ratio of the price per square meter of a flat to average earnings were taken into account.

Bydgoszcz performed very well in both measurements. In terms of supply, our city has 23 offers per 1,000 residents (tied for 1st place with Gdańsk). For comparison, Krakow had 20 such offers, and Szczecin only had 13.

In terms of the square meterage of an apartment available for an average salary, Bydgoszcz ranked second behind Katowice. According to the experts’ calculations from the rynekpierwotny.pl portal, with an average salary you can buy 0.77 square meters in Bydgoszcz. For comparison, in Wrocław it is 0.66 square meters, and in Warsaw it is 0.59 (the capital city ranked last in the ranking).
